The NDIA has released the Annual Pricing Review (APR) Report. The Report provides guidance on what the Agency considers appropriate NDIS prices for 2026-27.

Phone service established for First Nations people with disability
First Nations people seeking NDIS help can now call a new phone line, established to provide a more culturally respectful, tailored experience with the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA).
All staff supporting First Nations Connect have undergone specialised training and some identify as being Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander.

NSW “devises own plan” for aged care in State Budget
The NSW and Queensland Budgets have again shone a spotlight on the unresolved question of who should fund hospital-to-aged care transition care.
The NSW Budget included $35.7 million over two years for interim aged care and allied health to help older people transition out of hospital while they wait for Federally funded aged care services.
Government to commit $3.7bn to strengthen aged care access
The government will invest $3.7 billion to increase the supply of residential aged care accommodation, accelerate the release of Support at Home packages and enhance the quality and affordability of aged care services.
In a direct response to the Residential Aged Care Accommodation Pricing Review, the Federal Budget announced it will aim to incentivise construction of up to 5000 aged care beds a year for aged care residents and protect equity of access for them.
